Design Process

Through brand strategy workshops and client interviews, we distilled Dune Hai's core qualities: sophisticated with flourish, editorial boldness, culturally-informed ecology, practical yet adventurous, and deeply hospitable. This strategic foundation guided our visual exploration, focusing on balancing editorial clarity with modern ornamentation—reflecting their sophisticated approach to garden-making.

The final direction creates space for their work to speak volumes while maintaining a clear brand voice across all touch points. Working closely with our web designer, I provided creative direction to ensure the identity system translated seamlessly to Dune Hai’s digital experience.

The identity combines refined, editorial type family with a customized logo and glyph set, using a color palette drawn from California's modernist era. We developed comprehensive brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all applications, from project documentation to social content.
